This policy explains what personal information YouVisa Canada (youvisa.ca) collects, how we use and protect it, and your rights.

Who we are
YouVisa Canada is an immigration services brand of Wang Law Firm, LLC, 203 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2100, Chicago, IL 60601. Person responsible for privacy: David Wang, [email protected].
What we collect
Information you give us: the name, phone number, WeChat ID, email, location, program of interest and description of your situation you enter in the enquiry form.
Information that stays on your device: entries and scores in the CRS calculator, citizenship test and presence calculator are stored in your own browser and are never sent to us.
Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. It only reports totals such as page views, country and device type.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry and give a first view of the immigration options that may suit you.
If you retain us, to prepare and file your application.
We do not sell or rent your personal information or use it for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.
Who can see it
The team members handling your enquiry, including the Canadian lawyer responsible for Canadian immigration files.
Service providers that run the site for us: hosting and analytics (Cloudflare) and email delivery (Resend). They may process information only to provide their service.
Authorities, where the law requires it.
Where it is stored
Our office and some service providers are in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws there. By submitting the form you acknowledge this.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a retainer are generally deleted within two years of our last contact. Client files are kept as required by the record-keeping rules for law firms.
Your rights
You may ask at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are in Québec, you also have the rights set out in Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
Important
Submitting an enquiry through this site does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Please do not send confidential or sensitive documents through the form before a retainer agreement is signed.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date.
